Generating AI Metadata

Let AI analyze your images and videos to generate titles, descriptions, and keywords.

Single Image Generation#

1. Select an image in the filmstrip.
2. Click Generate Metadata in the right metadata panel, or open Generate options in the bottom action bar and choose Generate Metadata.
3. The AI analyzes the image and fills the title, description, and keywords fields.

Batch Processing#

Process multiple images at once:

1. Select Media: Select a group of files in the filmstrip, use Select All Images, or choose a folder-level scope where available.
2. Generate: Open Generate options and choose Batch Metadata.
3. Confirm Batch: Review the confirmation dialog for the number of files and credits.
4. Process: Confirm to start the batch.

Monitoring Progress#

Open the Queue tab in the right panel to monitor active and past batch activity. Queue entries describe the folder, completed count, total count, and current status, such as Metadata Queue, DSLR and Phone Pics, 7 of 9 complete, processing.

You can also open the queue from the command palette with Open Queue.

Viewing History#

Open Tools > History or use the command palette item Open History to review completed metadata batches, image generations, and upscales in a dedicated window. The History window can stay open while you keep working in the main app.
