Using Helper Text

Provide hints to the AI for more accurate metadata generation.

Why Use Helper Text?#

  • Identify Specialized Tools: The AI might label a "digital caliper" as a generic "ruler"
  • Describe Abstract Scenes: Provide context for macro shots or unrecognizable subjects
  • Increase Accuracy: Ensure professional and precise metadata for stock submissions

Adding or Editing Helper Text#

  1. Select the image(s) in the filmstrip.
  2. Open the command palette with Cmd/Ctrl+K.
  3. Choose Helper Text.
  4. Type a short description.
  5. Click Save.

Tip

A question mark icon will appear on thumbnails with helper text.

Generating with Helper Text#

  1. Select file(s) with helper text.
  2. Clear existing metadata if needed.
  3. Click "Generate Metadata."
  4. The AI will use your text as a reference for specific, accurate tags.

Removing Helper Text#

Select the image(s), then use the Helper Text controls from the command palette or image context menu to clear helper text.
