Using Helper Text
Provide hints to the AI for more accurate metadata generation.
Why Use Helper Text?#
- Identify Specialized Tools: The AI might label a "digital caliper" as a generic "ruler"
- Describe Abstract Scenes: Provide context for macro shots or unrecognizable subjects
- Increase Accuracy: Ensure professional and precise metadata for stock submissions
Adding or Editing Helper Text#
- Select the image(s) in the filmstrip.
- Open the command palette with Cmd/Ctrl+K.
- Choose Helper Text.
- Type a short description.
- Click Save.
Tip
A question mark icon will appear on thumbnails with helper text.
Generating with Helper Text#
- Select file(s) with helper text.
- Clear existing metadata if needed.
- Click "Generate Metadata."
- The AI will use your text as a reference for specific, accurate tags.
Removing Helper Text#
Select the image(s), then use the Helper Text controls from the command palette or image context menu to clear helper text.
