Importing Photos
There are several convenient ways to import your images into MetaPhotoAI. This guide covers all the methods available to you.
Method A: Using the "Add Folder" Button#
Locate the Add Folder button
Find the "Add Folder" button in the left-side panel under the "FOLDERS" section or the large button in the center of the workspace if no folders are currently loaded.
Select your folder
A file explorer window will open. Navigate to and select the folder containing the images you wish to process.
Confirm selection
Click "Open" to add the folder.
View your images
The folder will appear in the sidebar, and the images will load into the bottom carousel.
Method B: Drag and Drop#
Open your file explorer
Open your computer's file explorer (Finder on macOS or File Explorer on Windows).
Select files or folders
Select a folder or individual image files you want to import.
Drag and drop
Drag and drop them directly onto the main MetaPhotoAI workspace.
Automatic organization
The application will automatically import the files and organize them under the respective folder names in the sidebar.
Supported Image Formats#
MetaPhotoAI supports a wide variety of image formats:

Note
RAW files are fully supported! MetaPhotoAI can analyze and generate metadata for Olympus (.ORF), Nikon (.NEF), Canon (.CR2, .CR3), and Adobe Digital Negative (.DNG) files.
