Rating Images
Mark your strongest images with star ratings, then review or filter them quickly.
Assigning Ratings#
You can rate one image or a selection of images:
- Select the image or images in the filmstrip or thumbnail grid.
- Use Alt/Option+1 through Alt/Option+5 to set a rating, or Alt/Option+0 to clear it.
- You can also right-click the selection and choose Rating, use the command palette rating commands, or click stars in the Image Info tab.
- The rating is saved with the image record and appears anywhere ratings are enabled.
Tip
Use ratings for quality picks, client selects, review passes, or export readiness without changing metadata text.
Where Ratings Appear#
Ratings appear on thumbnails and filmstrip items at the lower-left, similar to the image number badge. They can also be shown in the preview information area after camera info, and are always available in the Image Info tab.
Filtering by Rating#
To show only specific ratings:
- Click Filter in the bottom action bar.
- In the Rating section, choose Unrated or one or more star values.
- Multiple selected star values match any of those ratings.
- Rating filters can be combined with metadata, color tag, and status filters.
- Click Clear All Filters to return to the full folder.
Tip
A rating filter is useful for reviewing only four- and five-star selects before export or upload.
