Editorial Metadata
Create properly formatted editorial captions for stock agencies.
What is Editorial Content?#
Editorial images and videos illustrate news, current events, or topics of public interest. Unlike commercial content, they can include visible brand names, trademarks, and recognizable people without releases.
Required format: [City, State/Country], [Month Day, Year] - [Description]
Marking Media as Editorial#
- Select the images or videos in the filmstrip.
- Open the command palette and choose Mark as Editorial or Toggle Editorial.
- A yellow EDITORIAL badge appears on the selected media.
To revert, run the same command again or use the image context menu.
Tip
By default, MetaPhotoAI operates in "Commercial" mode, excluding brand names from AI-generated metadata.

Since editorial captions require location data:
- Go to Settings (gear icon) > Location.
- Enter your default City, State/Province, and Country.
