Batch Processing Metadata#
Instead of processing images one by one, you can generate metadata for an entire folder or a selection of files simultaneously.
How to Batch Process#
Select media
Highlight the folder in the sidebar or select a group of files in the bottom film strip.
Generate
Click the "Generate" button in the bottom action bar. You can choose to process the current image or select "Batch Metadata" from the dropdown menu.
Confirm batch
A confirmation dialog will appear, showing:
- The total number of images and videos to be processed
- The total number of credits required for the operation
Process
Click "Confirm" to start the batch.
Monitoring Progress#
Once a batch starts, a "Processing" tab will open in the right panel. Here, you can track the status of your files in real-time:
| Tab | Description |
|---|---|
| Active | Shows files currently being analyzed |
| Post | Shows files that have finished processing |
Progress bars for both image and video batches keep you informed on the estimated completion time.
Credit Usage#
| Media Type | Credits per Item |
|---|---|
| Images | 1 credit |
| Videos | 4 credits |
Tip
To conserve credits when processing similar images, use copy and paste metadata to apply one image's metadata to others.
Batch Processing Best Practices#
| Practice | Benefit |
|---|---|
| Group similar images | Apply same settings and review together |
| Check credits first | Ensure you have enough before starting |
| Use helper text | Add context for specialized content before batch processing |
| Review before export | Check a sample of results before exporting all |
Note
With broad format support and high-speed batch processing, MetaPhotoAI is the ideal companion for managing large-scale visual libraries.
