Understanding Credits#

MetaPhotoAI uses a credit-based system for AI metadata generation. Each photo consumes 1 credit, while videos consume 4 credits due to the additional processing required.

Credits are only deducted for successful generations - if a generation fails, you won't be charged. Monthly credits refresh at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over to the next month.

Tip

Use Local Processing with Ollama to generate photo metadata without consuming any credits.

Changing Your Plan#

You can upgrade or downgrade your subscription at any time:

  1. Visit metaphotoai.io and log in
  2. Navigate to your account settings
  3. Select Manage Subscription
  4. Choose your new plan

Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
